Independence Dressage and ImpulSion LLC are co-sponsoring rising young trainer, Kayce Redmond in her quest to qualify for the Brentina Cup on the confirmed Grand Prix, 13 year old gelding, Latino. Latino (Leandro x Madonna) has been in full training with Karen Lipp since ImpulSion LLC imported him in 2007 from Denmark. Karen and Latino have trained with Lars Peterson and Michelle Gibson. Latino was recently with Silke Rembacz for the Florida season. Silke says of Latino, “Latino is fun to ride and comes out every day ready to work and enjoys his work! Anyone can learn the Grand Prix with him and be very competitive! If one of my clients were looking we would buy him. I would love to have him in my barn!”
Piaffe and Passage are Latino’s forte, although all his gaits are special. He is very affectionate. He loves bananas and has never passed up a lick it in his stall. He is very easy to trailer and is wonderful at Shows.
Kayce had much success as a Junior and Young Rider and is now training up her young mare, Rosita. She has been with Karen for ten years as student and later assistant trainer. Karen Lipp approached the Deimler’s about having Kayce ride Latino and the time was right for Latino and Kayce to work together on the Brentina Cup.
After only ten days of training with Latino, they scored a 63.077 in the Brentina warm-up and a 62.179 in the Brentina Cup test! Kayce says of Latino, “He has a huge heart and gives me 100% every day in training. In our first show, coming down the final centerline, he gave me everything he had. Everyone applauded and Latino whinnied his response!”
Latino is for sale and is competitively priced at $185,000. He would make a wonderful partner for a rider ready for the Brentina Cup or Grand Prix. Please contact Karen Lipp at 770-331-7245 for additional information.
